Trading stocks sounds like a taboo subject. If you aren't a finance guru or a daily businessman on Wall Street, you might be wondering... how are everyday people trading and making money? You see the tickers on the news and maybe even hear of those apps on the phone that make it easy. I'm going to give you a brief overview on what it is and where you can learn- so you can start making money ASAP.

Stock trading is a form of investing, and allows you to focus on short term gains. With two main forms of stock trading, you should look at what your specific goals are and how you wish to proceed:
Active Trading: Active trading allows you to trade with the intention of short-term movements based on the market trend. This is a great option for someone willing to put in daily effort as it's more risky. Those who place more 10 or more trades per month would be considered an active trader. Market fluctuations and timing is where the profits come from within active trading.

Day Trading: Day trading sounds like what it is... trading within the day! This trading means there is a focus on how much money you can make within hours, days or minutes. Essentially, you watch the numbers and take advantage of very small fluctuations in order to gain a profit.

Trading itself is complicated- but not impossible. In order for you to understand the atmosphere in which trading occurs it's important you sit down and go through the "language" of trading. Take sometime to do research and understand terms such as:
Equity
Risk
Ask/Offer
Exchange
Bid
Market Order
Sector
Bid
Broker
Bear Market
Bull Market
Volatility
Liquidity
Margin
Trading Volume

Going Short
